The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks
The Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks is a game that i hold very close to my heart, as it was the first game i ever played when i was a child. Many happy memories that are connected to this small, quirky Nintendo DS game. While it objectively has many flaws, such as the long train rides and sidequests, it is something i can look past. Sometimes i just sit down, ride the train around and listen to the wonderful overworld music, or catch some bunnies. I find the main story of the game so unique and intriguing, and even to this very day it is the only Zelda game, where Link and Zelda closely work together through the entirety of the game. And before Echoes of Wisdom, it was the only main line entry where you could play as Zelda, to a certain degree. It often gets overlooked due to being a DS game, but it has so much of its own charm that just makes it so special to me. I find it so funny and also adorable how the train was implemented into literally every single thing. The music, the characters, the overworld, just, everything. It makes it all feel incredibly connected instead of the train just being a fun little gimmick they threw in last minute. And oh the music...i could talk about the soundtrack of Spirit Tracks for hours. Its so high energy, but also features many melancholic or threating tracks. They also integrated the flute, the main instrumet of the game, in most of the tracks, and it just sounds so beautiful. Zelda herself in this entry is a more shyish, yet still determined, version of Tetra, as she is her descendant, and it is so funny to see her reaction to certain things like rats.
